Reflecting over the past 16 weeks, I realize I have learned a lot of valuable information. Some of the biggest insights deal with the family unit, and early childhood on a global level.

As an early childhood educator, much of my time is spent on the children. Whether it is related to academics, behavior, or social skills, my primary focus is on the children. I still think my primary focus should be on the children, but this course has challenged me to come up with ways to help educate and advocate for families as a whole. Now, it makes perfect sense! The more knowledgeable the family is, the more resources that are available to the family, and the more comfortable the family feels with early childhood education, the better off the child will be.
